Product Description

Keeping your horses safe from internal parasites can be a difficult task. A horse dewormer can help. ZIMECTERIN GOLD dewormer for horses controls more species and stages of parasites than any other product.

ZIMECTERIN GOLD paste provides effective treatment and control against the following important internal parasites in horses:
-tapeworms
-small and large strongyles
-ascarids
-bots
-pinworms
-threadworms
-lungworms
For a full list of parasite species and stages see the ZIMECTERIN GOLD Product Insert.
Experts say small strongyles and roundworms (ascarids) are the greatest resistance threats. Small strongyles have developed resistance to two of the three major dewormer classes (benzimidazoles and tetrahydropyrimidines).1,2 Ivermectin for horses, one of the active ingredients in ZIMECTERIN GOLD, remains effective against benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles.3

Active Ingredient(s) Ivermectin 1.55% ; Praziquantel 7.75%

ZIMECTERIN GOLD is available over the counter and can be administered by a horse owner. However, it is best to consult with your veterinarian before treating your horse. Horse owners should work closely with their veterinarian to ensure continued effectiveness of their deworming programs and selectively treat only those horses that need it.

To administer ZIMECTERIN GOLD, deposit paste on the back of the horse?s tongue and immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing. For more information on dosing and administration, consult the packaging label.

There have been rare reports of swelling and irritation of the mouth, lips and tongue of the horse following administration of ZIMECTERIN GOLD. These reactions have been transitory in nature. Not for use in humans. Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children. This product should not be used in other animal species as severe adverse reactions, including fatalities in dogs, may result.
