DIRECTIONS FOR USE: It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. RESISTANCE-MANAGEMENT: For resistance-management, please note that RANCHER’S CHOICE® ClariFly® Fly Control Pressed Block contains a Group 15/diflubenzuron insecticide. Any insect population may contain individuals naturally resistant to RANCHER’S CHOICE® ClariFly® Fly Control Pressed Block and other Group 15 insecticides. The resistant individuals may dominate the insect population if these insecticides are used repeatedly in the same fields. Appropriate resistance-management strategies should be followed.
To delay insecticide/acaricide resistance, take the following steps:
-Adopt an integrated pest management program for insecticide use that includes scouting, uses historical information related to pesticide use, record keeping, and which considers cultural, biological and other chemical control practices.
-Monitor after application for unexpected target pest survival. If the level of survival suggests the presence of resistance, consult with your local university specialist or certified pest control advisor.
-Contact your local extension specialist for any additional pesticide resistance-management and/or IPM recommendations for
the specific site and pest problems in your area.
For further information or to report suspected resistance contact Consumers Supply Distributing, LLC at 712-255-6927.
FEEDING AND MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTIONS: Provide RANCHER’S CHOICE® ClariFly® Fly Control Pressed Block as a free choice source of salt and minerals for your cattle and horses. When used as directed, this product will provide sufficient diflubenzuron to prevent the development of fly larvae in manure of treated cattle and horses. This product prevents the development of horn flies, house flies, face flies, and stable flies in the manure of treated cattle and house flies and stable flies in the manure of treated horses. Existing adult flies will not be affected. Start feeding this product early in the spring before flies begin to appear and continue feeding throughout the summer and into the fall until cold weather restricts fly activity. Allow free choice to cattle and horses. Cattle should consume an average of 0.10 mg. of diflubenzuron per kg. of animal body weight per day, to achieve control of horn, house, face and stable flies. Cattle should consume an average of 0.8 oz. of this product per 100 lbs. of animal body weight per day, which is equivalent to 8 oz. per day for a 1,000 lbs. cow. Horses should consume an average of 0.15 mg. of diflubenzuron per kg. of animal body weight per day to achieve control of house and stable flies. Horses should consume an average of 1.2 oz. of this product per 100 lbs. of animal body weight per day, which is equivalent to 12 oz. per day for a 1,000 lbs. horse. Ensure cattle and horses are not starved for nutrients prior to feeding this product. This product contains added copper. Do not feed to sheep and other species that have a low tolerance to supplemental copper. Do not use in association with feeds containing supplemental selenium. Offer cattle and horses 1 block for every 3 to 5 head. Remove all other self-limiting nutritional supplements. Locate this product where cattle and horses congregate (watering, loafing, shade areas). Replenish this product on a regular basis as needed. If intake of this product is below 0.8 oz. per 100 lb. animal body weight per day for cattle or 1.2 oz. per 100 lbs. animal body weight per day for horses, increase the number of feeding locations and/or change location(s) to areas more frequented by cattle and horses. If intake of this product is above 0.8 oz. per 100 lbs. animal body weight per day for cattle or 1.2 oz. per 100 lbs. animal body weight per day for horses, reduce the number of feeding locations and/or change location(s) to areas less frequented by cattle and horses. Introduction of this product after adult fly infestation is established may require treatment of cattle and horses with supplemental sprays to reduce the adult fly population coming from outside sources.
